(praise God for the privilege of setting people free with the gospel, but also, praise God for the opportunity of being “besides orvlesues”)…anyway, that’s not my point hahahah,14 – For the love of Christ controls us… (the what?…the LOVE OF CHRIST…not man)18 – All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling [3] the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us…how wonderful…we are given the ministry of reconciliation…which is what?…that God is APPEALING to man, “I am not holding your sins against you!”aahhh…lovely!

That’s great…what an interesting distinction! And both ‘exiles’ are meant to prepare and correct us. Let’s sing our song of freedom while living through the exile!

This encapsulates one of the amazing aspects of God’s grace – it should cause growth in every believer. I thank God that His work in my life is ongoing and that He has placed such awesome leaders to foster His discipleship of my life.

It takes a man with integrity to acknowlege when he is wrong, and bold enough to stand by it, especially when he stands to lose so much. It was easy for me to walk away IFB because I didn’t have much invested there. Over the years I have seen some find their way to a more balanced approach to the Christian life for which I am thankful.

As Chuck Swindoll said so many years ago in Grace Awakening, we as God’s people can no longer be silent or passive when it comes to the distructive forces of legalism. They were present in Jesus’s day, they are present now. I thank God you had the courage to face the evils associated with the movement and see that much of it was based on human but sinful personalities.

People might not like to hear the message you preach but it is so necessary. Pharasees didn’t like Jesus either.
